I came up as an industrial maintenance technician and electrician. PLC work at a precast concrete plant, lead electrical technician at a distillery running bottling and processing equipment, maintenance at Frito Lay and Buckhead Beef, refrigeration and plant systems at a bakery, and seven years at a high-speed automated facility in Lake Wales where the lines I had oversight on saw production climb more than 75% once the equipment was properly adjusted and maintained. Low and high voltage, single and three phase, hydraulics, pneumatics, refrigeration, welding. If it moved, heated, cooled, or drew current, it was mine to keep alive.
That work is diagnostic work. When a line goes down, the symptom almost never sits where the cause does, and every minute you spend guessing costs real money. You learn to follow the system backward until you find what actually broke. That habit is the single most useful thing I brought into home inspection. A stain on a ceiling, a breaker that keeps tripping, a room that never cools — those are symptoms. I'm interested in what's producing them.
I've been a licensed Florida home inspector since 2023, license HI16539, and I've inspected residential and commercial property across Central Florida since.
